Fern Hill Chorus
The Fern Hill Chorus is a non-auditioned children’s choir for students in Grades 4–8 at Fern Hill School, conducted by Amanda Nelli. The choir rehearses weekly during lunch recess as part of a school-based extracurricular music program that values access, inclusion, and joyful music-making. Rehearsals focus on vocal development, music literacy, and expressive performance, while fostering confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of community.
The Fern Hill Chorus performs regularly at school events, community concerts, and music festivals, and has also been invited to perform at professional sporting events for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays. The ensemble has earned top honours at provincial and national festivals and has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Primary Choir
The Primary Choir is a non-auditioned children’s choir for students in Grades 1–3 at Fern Hill School, conducted by Amanda Nelli. The choir rehearses weekly during lunch recess as part of a school-based extracurricular music program that emphasizes joyful singing, foundational vocal development, and early music literacy. Rehearsals are designed to nurture confidence, collaboration, and a love of ensemble music-making in a supportive and engaging environment.
The Primary Choir performs regularly at school events throughout the year, including the Christmas Concert, Grandparents’ Day, and Closing Ceremonies, and also participates in the Peel Music Festival. The ensemble is an award-winning group and was awarded First Place by the Ontario Music Festivals Association in 2025, reflecting the strong musical foundation and excellence established at an early age.
